¡Ojo! Ows opens out...

Ojo... O... Ow... Eau...

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

(nice drop but it's a pronunciation thing...)...and nothing to do with this post!

Oh!! Ooerr! Oh well...I think we're reaching a watershed in the knowledge stakes...

I've posted many details of my life and what I get up to...I've even posted pictures of my children...

...but now, for some strange reason, (was it you Mags?) I feel compelled to post a picture of Ows, maybe it's all this talk of health and...errr...non-health...and... errr...failing health...two posters have seen this picture before; only two and no one else...strangely enough, not even family or friends...in the picture...Span (on the left) and Igor, who is my friend and our distributor in Latvia and the other Baltic States, on a beach on the Baltic coast near Riga...yes, that’s the sea in the background and yes, it IS frozen solid!...his brother owns a Russian oil company…(off on a tangent)... my brother was in Moscow 2 weeks ago; with the company that Roman a la Chelski has just bought!!! ...nuff said!

S.O.

P.S...I was thinking of starting an OWS website; I've changed my mind and only part of the reason is listed below!:
In Europe...strategic media..I like it.
The Germans...(vitamins for your car?)!!!
The Poles... spring rings!!!
In Chinese...what's new? See the flashing 'new' signs, yeah we understand the rest too!
dot org...open window...that's fine.
or what else..."Oder Was Sonst"...yeah.
and...don't ask me!!!
err...Office of Workplace Services...Zzzzzzz
one...at least it's in Spain, and it looks cool!
two...doh! At least it's organic!
three...for FUCK 's sake!
four...Right, that's it!
one way street!...I give up!!!

  1. Good photo Span...now we have a face to the name ;-)

Of course I will probably do so when I have better net connections for speed...there is one floating around on the net already at a website that I am a member of and should post many more messages there than I do...only that picture is from some time ago, I'm not sure if I have had any photo's taken in the last 20 years, now I think about it.

    Your journey does sound interesting.

I guess it will happen but I found out today that someone in the States has linked my blog to theirs!

  2. WOW! Gildy, that is good...any links mean more interest...we (OK! I...me...) may be paranoid but I've done a lot (well since Oct '05!!) of blog 'surfing' via the Next blog button on the Blogger toolbar at the top of our blogs...it's completely random...but it lets you see a good variety of other blogs...without doubt 70%+ are those with no links and no comments!...

P.S. you caught me posting! I'm now editing ad putting an eye (ojo) image at the top.

  5. Hang on...this is the second time I've posted and the comment isn't here...Gavin wwas saying something about it the other day. I've just answered curmy on the oyster post but I AM 100% SURE I had already posted ...and here, last night I posted a pervy starfish link...hang on...has anyone seen it? Don't tell me I've put it on someone else's blog!

  6. I tried to add something fancy to the side where my links are and it appeared but then refused to do what it was supposed to, so I removed it. The only good thing is that at least I proved that I can put other things down the side of the text.

On the other hand as for things disappearing I wrote an e-mail last night taking ages over it and when I sent it the computer crashed.

When I rebooted and checked the e-mail program to resend...there was no sign of it anywhere...I'm sure that you will try the link again :-)

  7. Beautiful children Span, are both you and your wife Spanish ? (Sorry I don't know your life history)
Not a bad pic of you, either !

  8. Gildy, I found the link - it's on the Ocean post - appropriate really as it's a starfish link...not your normal starfish though...ooooer! :-)

curmy THANKS! They take after their mother with the dark eyes and hair and lovely olive skin when they get a bit of sun - she's Venezuelan...I'm a white, aging Englishman...hidious the BBC would say!...believe it or not, the eldest has the afro that once (could have) graced my head...well it would have done if I'd ever let it grow enough!...CJ (curly jailbird) was a nickname of mine whilst I was in the army...but THAT is another story - cross between the curly hair and having what my mates thought was a posh accent (á la CJ from the Reggie Perrin series)!!!

  9. Span....I'm sorry but when I click that picture link, I get a grainy picture obviously taken undercover by a KGB agent spying on other KGB agents, so how everyone else can tell what you look like is beyond me. No, I don't need an eye test, had one last month and I still do not need specs.

And stop going on about ageing because I have a feeling you and I are about the same age and I am not ageing, wilting perhaps a little under the hot sun of life but not ageing!

  10. Sorry Mags, but teh picture does seem to have suffered! I don't quite know why but I suspect it's because when I move pics from my laptop to the web.basd photobucket it resizes if they're over 1MB...as that photo was originally just a normal photo, then scanned then put in MSPublisher then uploaded!! I'll find a better one...re aging...i'm getting younger really...wilting...in this heat, you could be right!

  11. Span, I thought I'd heard all the excuses that a man has to offer but no, you come up with a new one!

Is it hot in Barcelona too then? I would never have though it!!! It's warm here tonight. I feel bloated and swollen...bet you wish you were too Span xxxxx

  12. That comment of Mags is so funny, Span .Are you sure it wasn't taken with a telephoto lens from up a tree ? !
Still I can just about make out what you look like !

  13. hehehe..NO! but I don't know why it's came out so bad...just to add to the 'mystery' I was meant to be in Tehran today (and in Iran all week) for a programme of seminars but they refused to give me a visa! I was there last year and the year before...I'm still trying to wrangle it, my contact (oh no!) has been at their Ministry trying to find out (a) why!!! and (b) what the f**k do we do now!

    ResponderEliminar
  14. Well, I'd rather that you were not allowed in rather than not be allowed back out :-)

    ResponderEliminar
  15. The same thought had occured to me Gildy! :-)

Last time I was there I had visa trouble and an interesting
'adventure' at the airport so I suppose this is just the next step! trouble is now my goose is cooked because on the Iranian Visa application form it asks "have you ever been turned down for a visa before"...well they've sorted that one out well and truly.

Hamid tells me it's because I'm British!

  16. Hang on a minute...Mags...what excuse!

  17. Span, I know why they won't let you in, they've been reading your blog , and think you'll be eyeing up their women. LOL

  18. curmy - helloooo! I've just posted a long message (for me) answering this reply of yours but I posted it in the above 'bike' post. I read your comment in my hotmail and just assumed it was on the newest post...

    doh!

Anyway, I did a post re the Mohammed cartoons - with photos - see links - so there may be an element of truth in what you say, there is a chance they read it!

  19. Oh dear, Span, I do hope they havn't read your blog !
Not sure I'd ever want to visit Iran, with that lot in power.

    ResponderEliminar
  20. curmy, please don't think that because some religious nutters are in power that that is what it's all like...Iran has great ski resorts, great gulf coast beach resorts, wonderful people and wonderful history! You have to remember that before Khomeni returned (one of 'the' days that changed the world...from France...via air France...ooops sorry, not hinting at anything...ahem) Iran was a very progressive, well educated, rich country...most of those people are still there...just because a genius puts a stupid hat on doesn't mean he loses his intelligence...but it may APPEAR like he has!

    ResponderEliminar
  21. P.S. Did you like my post on 'those' cartoons...I thought it was rather well written...;-)

    ResponderEliminar
  22. Span, yes I did like your blog on those cartoons.
Although the Shar was far from perfect, what Iran has now become is a great shame.
I remember how shocked I was was that Khomeni bloke took over, and hundreds of people got executed.
