Yes, I am still alive; yes I wish I was blogging more. And yes there will be an opening for some decent U.K. Parliament 'Opposition' soon. It is simply too boring these days to get wound up about the tsunami of shit we are being asked to swallow or at least wade it. Today we can be pretty sure of one thing, Conservatives will be in opposition. 

Anyhoo...I discovered a new website (it may NOT be new, I mean I only just found it): The New Conservative where Alastair MacMillan writes about there being more reasons not to vote for the current shite outfit. In the 'About' page is exactly what I wish 'The Conservative Party' were (who are not conservative, Conservative or even remotely 'right wing'): 

• Government’s first duty to protect the citizenry 
• Unequivocal freedom of speech 
• Border control Fiscal responsibility 
• The state as servant, not master 
• The law applied without fear or favour 
• Low taxes 
• An end to grooming gangs & their cover-ups 
• A robust response to charlatan wokery 
• Economic stability before Green virtue-signalling 

Look at that! Hoorah! I could add a few things - e.g. en end to postal votes except for the previous sensible exemptions [military, disabled...] but what a start, actually being what the blue wing of the Uniparty should be.

Of the twenty-one that have been 'completely adjudicated' "Trump has won 14 and lost 7".

They may be little or irrelevant wins, I really don't know but I know you won't read about it in the main stream media.

The images below show the effect over recent decades; an effect we can all see and notice in everyday life; remember that in the USA by 'liberal' they mean lefty twat, mostly. See how the 'mixed' middle is being squeezed and flattened while the extremes grow in both size and distance from the centre.








I was led there* by this great article called The Separation by Rebecca on The American Mind website and presented as a "pseudonymous essay as an example of what thoughtful people of good will are increasingly thinking and saying in private about the future of America. The author is not a young radical or part of some strange new online intellectual sub-group. On the contrary, the following was written by someone who served as an officer in the United States military, worked in Congress and on presidential campaigns, is founder and principal of a private partnership, and holds multiple Ivy League degrees."

"But we are in a post-truth era.... ...According to Pew, 72% of Democrats and 77% of Republicans agree that the sides 'cannot agree on basic facts.' We now speak 'my truth.' This is not cognitive dissonance: it is cognitive division."

There, the separation isn't a joke nor a conspiracy theory; here in the UK we see similar signs, not so much on national election level but certainly on many other things: climate change, Brexit, Trump (Ok, OK!), COVID etc are now house dividers, family dividers, friendship splitters, and the extremes grow. You may think then that the (presumed) election of Sleepy Joe to POTUS46 is a step to correct the outward pull and bring things back to the happy centre...but if you think that you haven't been paying attention.

Very interesting: the image below shows that not much changes, very similar to the Brexit votes: almost entirley along political party lines. Division 47, Business of the House today. At least no Conservative jumpers this time.

How exciting that the petition calling on the government to revoke Article 50 and remain in the EU* is now over 3.36 million (yawn). It says "The government repeatedly claims exiting the EU is 'the will of the people'..."; yes we had referendum in 2016, no doubt you've forgotten.



Back then, in similar mode, there was Online omni-incompetence: a meaningless petition was started, and back then, like now, it was riddled with foreign and false signatures. Indeed, like then, the snowflakes were mobilised: "...if you go to the petition map you can see where most signatures are coming from: London, Bristol, Oxford, Cambridge, Brighton...yes, you get the idea: [edit 1620 hrs] a student/millennial/snowflake brigade are on a mission...".

Raedwald puts this weeks petition in context: People v. Parliament - the chasm widens: "Even if it reached 17.4m it would still be meaningless; it is open to fraud, abuse, hacking and manipulation. The map is instructive. The greatest proportion of clicks are from Oxford, Cambridge, Brighton and Edinburgh."



Currently Edinburgh,  Cambridge and Brighton are edging 15% of the voter population of that constituency signing; Bristol West, the highest as far as I can make out from the distribution map, is on 16.5%! In London it is Islington, Holborn, Hornsey and Hackney leading the way....something rings a bell there: Corbyn, Abbott, Starmer...ah, yes, that's what it is...

UKIP heaven. They have only got one seat in the House of Commons (with 12.6% of the total vote!) and they may have come 2nd in over 100 constituencies (see Update 2 on previous post) across SE and SW England and the Midlands but, more than this, surely the map that highlights UKIP's success the 'most' is the one above, which shows the biggest party swing in each constituency (See 16.38 'The biggest swingers'); UKIP performed in almost every single English constituency. For David Cameron the future's bright; if he was pragmatic (thanks alexsandr at Speccie) could it be blue and purple?
