'Octagonal object': overt obfuscation...

"U.S. military brings down flying object over Lake Huron near Canadian border"...[Reuters]

WTF is going on. Nothing then four separate 'UFO's in a week? One not so unidentified was a Chinese balloon; what will this 'octagonal object' be? It doesn't matter: it is just to distract you; take your pick: Ukraine farce, Epstein list, Biden crimes, COVID jab murders, Jan 6th truth...[adding from Clown Basket: the major chemical spill/train derailment in Ohio and US navy bombing Nordstream I...] so many things to not report on...

...oooh, look over there, a squirrel!

Update: UK version of things not to report on: Ukraine farce, Epstein list, net Zero energy hikes, hostile rape-intent fighting-age-only flow of immigration, [soon to become] gang-rape 'groomers', drag/trans/gender mental health issues, COVID jab murders, Sunak digital ID ties/oncoming CBDC, Brexit bretrayal...

Outing our overt overspending ocracy...

Once again the Tax Payers' Alliance is doing a sterling service by highlighting the overt overspending of our Members of Parliament, those sent to represent the people, no really, stop sniggering at the back, that is what they are meant to do.

This is not new, MPs and their hangers-on seem to be consumed with self-entitlement,  to claim back what most 'normal' people have to spend out of their own pockets (2nd mortgage, furniture, utility bills, TVs, donations to charities [i.e. poppies FFS!], and remember this has been going on for decades:  "ice cube tray, a fluffy duster, a toilet roll holder and tealights" [DT] and even porn!!!). What does your MP claim?

The TPA have "revealed the average cost of an MP has increased by 29 per cent over the covid pandemic, from £157,747 in 2019-20 to £203,880 in 2020-21."

Among the highlights is the astounding fact that the "average cost of an MP was £203,880". Remember this DOES NOT include their salary. [Full Report PDF]

Britain’s most expensive MP was the member for Broxtowe, Darren Henry, with total spending of £280,936. Now, to not prejudge - oops too late - maybe he had set-up expenses, being a fairly new MP (2019) but Broxtowe is by Nottingham - not even half way up the country, and the M1 motorway runs through the constituency; it is between Derby and Nottingham mainline stations i.e. it is effing easy to get to London. In fact it is just a few stops up the same line as Kettering, the constituency of the least expensive MP, Philip Hollobone (£80,709. A full 200K less). Philip has CONSTANTLY been the lowest spender - or amongst the lowest - for as long as he has been an MP.

Just as a reminder that MPs taking advantage of the pandemic and lockdown with a total spend of £132.5 million (up 4.6 per cent on previous years) is peanuts compared to - revealed last month - the [sadly unsurprising] news that there is " £17 billion estimated to be lost from unpaid business loans as any losses were guaranteed to be covered by taxpayers - that's 36 per cent of the entire scheme." [Bounce Back Loan Scheme PDF update].

Openly obsessed oaf...

"The government is running out of time to stop messing up". "I would dearly love to see Boris grip this mess and turn things around. The time to do it is not much longer." writes UK Member of Parliament Steve Baker, Count the Cost in The Critic.

I disagree, BoJo the Clown has botched too much. Brexit (almost) is all he has to his name. The rest of the high-tax, open border, green zealotry and lockdown/ mask domestic terrorism is a few bridges too far for me. Steve Baker almost gets there too because before the final sentence posted above he writes:
It is long past time to finally, openly and honestly count the cost of lockdowns and restrictions and vote no to all these measures. That is the only way to get off this road to the hell of minute and ever changing restrictions on our lives on which the Government has embarked.
And btw, I don't give a toss about the parties they had, it is just further proof that that they don't believe this shit either.

Why Plan B? And Gove pushing for Plan C?! Show us the data! Well they don't because showing the data makes them look even more like politico-pharma tyrannical misfits. That link, written by 'a senior executive in a pharmaceutical company' ends with a great quote (one of many*) from Spanish philosopher Jorge Agustín Nicolás Ruiz de Santayana y Borrás (George Santayana to his mates)
Fanaticism consists in redoubling your efforts when you have forgotten your aim.
* A couple more as that Wiki page just reminded me: the omni-quoted "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it" and the sad truth about the human race:
"Only the dead have seen the end of war"
(the latter from Soliloquies in England and Later Soliloquies, readable online [LINK] at The Project Gutenberg eBook).

Oncoming obrogation II...

The UK voted to leave the EU 1213 days ago...FORTY months. Now the slimey cunts (especially you Letwin) have voted to delay again; all for the best of the country of course; nothing partisan in the votes though, err...

[Link]

Very similar to the last delay vote (Cooper-Letwin) back in March.

Update: And The Brexit Party will tell you of a"new independent analysis of the deal by Brexit Facts4EU.Org, compiled with legal advice, spells out 10 ways in which Boris’ new EU treaty is not Brexit. Interesting points HERE (PDF) "A layman’s summary of the EU’s new ‘UK colonisation treaty’agreed by the PM yesterday"

Obamagate: objurgating Obama [officials]...

Obamagate, Russiagate. Get your popcorn ready: winter is coming. Bigger than Benghazi (ignored), bigger than the IRS scandal, bigger than Fast and Furious (and many MANY more).  Game of Thrones may be over but another saga will soon play out: THIS is unbelievable... maybe in fiction: these are crimes, not just corruption; it's not Joe Bloggs, it is the ex heads of the FBI, CIA, NSA and Obama himself. We know that Obama knew about the spying etc (in fact probably starting it!) but the heads of those US Intelligence agencies were prepared to spy on US citizens based on what they knew were false 'justifications' (Hillary's Steele dossier). The Last Refuge (Conservative Treehouse) has the Declassification Directive and Current Event Timeline… [LINK] FISA docs could be declassified within a week or so... perhaps even timed to hit the news just as he Donald hits the UK shore. I really do not think Treason May* wants to be around as PM then...

"diplomatically speaking, it would say a great deal about the overall opinion of the administration toward the U.K. if President Trump declassified documents prior to the British state visit considering U.K. involvement might very well be outlined within them."

Though "No-one really knows the extent of the current documents and/or information that may be subject to a Trump declassification request" [LINK] we do know that "Theresa May's spy chiefs were briefed on explosive Christopher Steele dossier before Donald Trump" [DT LINK].

Obama maybe should know that “The man who fears losing has already lost.” ;-)

[edit] * another reason she is determined to stay tied into the EU? Shunned by the US?

Ordure...

Not too long ago in a parallel galaxy not too far away we saw the following ad. It is almost ludicrous to think that Theresa May has succeeded where Tony Blair failed - in his wish to destroy the Conservative Party; you may disagree but what nobody can deny is that she is an evil, lying, treasonous witch.

Oxfam overload...

Some defence of Oxfam...and some not. First the defence: despite Guido's post today on the official Oxfam staff training guide on sexual exploitation, Oxfam do make it very clear - on pages 126 and 135 of the guide that most important of their non-negotiable principles in the Sexual Conduct guidelines Code of conduct are the following:

"To clarify: you must not demand or accept sex or sexual contact in return for goods or services from you or Oxfam." Clear. So, as Guido asks, is it really impossible to have a no tolerance policy for this?

Chez Stumbling and Mumbling believes that there are certain mechanisms at work in this and similar situations: ego-depletion, moral self-licensing and - whereby organisations can 'drift away from their original purposes' - the iron law of oligarchy.

Of course, much of the hoo-ha is political (of course!) but we've known for decades that Oxfam is "Leftist, anti-British, anti-capitalist and corrupt".[Conservative Woman]** It turns out that the Oxfam trustee Caroline Thomson, who made a 'full and unqualified apology' is an ex-BBC grandee who received - only 6 years ago - a nigh-on 1 million dollar pay-off when her bid to become director general floundered as 'she was dragged into the controversy over the cover-up of the activities of paedophile Jimmy Savile...and hence - of course - into a row over excessive pay-offs for BBC executives! [Daily Mail].

It's the all-too-common merry-go-round of BBC-quango-charidee-New Labour-EU gravy train once again! Her father was a Labour MP (then SDP), later made a Lord. She joined the BBC; husband political activist and very close friend of Peter Mandelson; he co-authored The Blair Revolution; a policy adviser to Blair and aide in No 10 for seven years; embroiled in Lobbygate [remember that? Only one year into the New Labour disaster but still several years before any UK MSM really took them to task] ; later an adviser to European Commission and now "having been ennobled for long service as a Blairite ultra is a key figure in the Lords in the battle against Brexit." They are an archetype couple of the New Labour stay-behind army that has the nation so blighted, the Civil Service is also full of the same.

Finally, to add injury to insult, the chairman of the charity Oxfam International, Juan Alberto Fuentes, has been arrested as part of an investigation into a corruption scandal although, as is made clear, "his arrest is not related to his role at Oxfam"; just unfortunate timing.

** please read the excellent responses there on this subject, especially from Mike, now probably a long way down the comment thread.

Opacity of ogling onomatomania II...

Hat-tip Zero Hedge. We knew about Google; we knew about Facebook (who are trying to blame algorithms [must be Al Gore Rhythms]: "Even though the math part of the data is unbiased, if the data encodes these social biases, it's hard to get away from that") but now pretty much all the major social networks (Google, Facebook, Buzzfeed, Instagram, Snapchat) are "fixing" their feeds...and I don't mean repairing.

How is it possible they missed (not slightly corrected) the biggest story in the USA* for so long?

* That the Hillary Clinton email-server investigation will be re-opened. The Director of the FBI (independently i.e. ignoring Attorney General Loretta Lynch [I wonder why?!!]) sent a letter to Congress saying that they had discovered e-mails that were relevant to the investigation. All this was ignored and stories with forty or more times fewer mentions getting preference. Wow, that data encoding social biases sure is effective.

Some say it could be payback; the whining Democratic supporters and Clinton shills and HRC herself are being very hypocritical; this is certainly not unprecedented...oh, against a Democrat nominee maybe it is.

Anyway, what we have here is...a popcorn overload!

Update 21:30 GMT: Ex CIA: "Nobody uses a private email server for official business. Period. Full stop."...[Link] "Anyone else who did such things in the government would long ago have been tried, convicted and sent to jail."

Exactly.

Obnubilating obloquy...

BBC joins unbelievable media craziness: note the headline! (BBC News Home page, 20:20 pm, Friday 17th.).  I agree with every word written by James Delingpole: "Project Grief: Remain’s Dirty Politicking Has Hit an All-Time Low". The Guardian and various other publications as well as hordes on Twitter were at it immediately it hit the news with accusations about Leave, Brexit, Farage's fault etc ...IMMEDIATELY. Sick fuckers. Nearly all media called Jo Cox a "Remain MP" (not Labour MP, or female MP...). Then EU politicians piled explicitly saying she was killed because of her views on the EU: "murdered for her dedication to European democracy and humanity". WTF?

Louise Mensch wrote: "Jo Cox MP Was the Best of Britain. Politicising Her Death is the Worst". Indeed. And "It is beyond disgusting, then, to use this man’s mental collapse and psychological unsoundness as a weapon in a political campaign."

By the way, the plot thickens...eye witness accounts falling apart.

Opposition offence...

...or, in Venezuela, it's an offence to be the Opposition, almost. The Organization of American States (OAS) has severely criticized Tibisay Lucena (the venal, corrupt and totally partisan [par for the course in most Venezuelan institutions] leader of Venezuela's National Electoral Council (CNE). [Reuters, also The Devil's Excrement] In a harshly-worded letter (ooooh) he wrote that Venezuelan authorities were failing to ensure fairness the coming 6th December fair elections.

The letter [here as PDF in English] [here PDF in Spanish] describes concerns regarding "the overall conditions of the process and the election campaign, an uneven playing field" putting it mildly in an "atmosphere characterized by serious political polarization and mistrust..."; use of funds for campaigns being abused with government candidates using national funds, the government deploying large numbers of civil servants and state resources for campaign purposes etc.

Reduced access to the [controlled] media. Contrived confusion on rigged ballots, with even new Krusty Nick Ripe speaking on national television assisting the cheat (he also 'promoted' an "ongoing campaign of threats and prosecution of workers, students, and popular sectors" along with the current president of the National Assembly Diosdado Cabello (Godgiven Hair), "who supports and promotes illegal activities of espionage and tracking of opponents."
Changing the rules of the game: blatant gerrymandering, disqualification of opposition candidates ("There have been cases where they were prejudged, with no possibility of getting their defense [sic] admitted." Investigation of political parties etc...

...you get the picture.

Obloquy of only option...

Sepptic Shock. Sepptic tank: in the FIFA president elections Prince Ali bin al-Hussein of Jordan - the ONLY other candidate - withdrew after the first round of voting. In that first round Blatter won 133 votes (only just short of the 140 votes needed for an outright win!); Prince Ali got 73. One by one the contenders withdrew until a re-election of the chief maggot was pretty much guaranteed ("...scores of rich, powerful men in their sixties and upward, an international cosmopolitan amoral exploitative malbolge of filth that encompasses all the vice of Dante's eighth circle; pandery, seduction, flattery, taboo breach, barratry, hypocrisy, theft, fraud, peculation, trickery, perjury, impostry and schism. Now here you have the parasitic maggot-heap that clusters around international 'sport', a maggot-heap...").

After the controversial decision to have the 2022 World Cup in Qatar it seemed things might come to a head: billions spent beforehand (yes, b-b-billions) on national level bribes; millions from slush funds for personal bribes; tens of billions in contracts to 'fight for'. One can only hope that the US instigated investigation (takes the USA to get the ball rolling! They don't even like football soccer!) and arrests etc will lead to many more arrest not just confined to the North, Central and South America Confederations. [edit] THIS screenshot really tells a story.

THIS IMAGE tells another (borrowed from a friend and previously shown in the post; size made me want to link it instead).

Update: Another good maggot-mention post by Sigillum at Anna Raccoon's.
