Outing official opiniasters: omissions, obfuscation or obscurantism...

BBC = Ministry of Truth. Irony lost on BBC

...or indeed all of the above! The UK's state broadcaster (Auntie, The Beeb, the BBC) "says its new Verify service will subject its own journalism to more rigorous fact-checking. But a far less neutral agenda appears to be concealed beneath this lofty aspiration". Laughable to anyone who cares to even scratch the surface.

"The BBC isn’t exposing disinformation. It's peddling it" writes Jonathan Cook; he's 100% correct.
"Why the BBC is launching its Verify service is all too clear. Trust in the establishment media, and the BBC in particular, has hit an all-time low. That itself poses a threat to the broadcaster’s Reithian [*] purpose: to impress a national consensus on the public mind that serves the British state."
[*] Lord Reith, founder of the BBC:

'They [the government] know they can trust us not to be really impartial.' (C. Stuart, ed., 'The Reith Diaries', 1975)

Oncoming ochlocracy; offing opposition...

HAS: Do you have any people in your studio at the present time that you believe are Communist or Fascist, employed there?

WD: No; at the present time I feel that everybody in my studio is one-hundred-percent American.
Interesting thought that Americans couldn't possibly be Communist or Fascist. Part of Walt Disney Testimony Before House Committee Transcript [transcript] H. A. Smith asking Walt Disney.

The image (left is from the 1943 Disney propaganda film Education for Death: The Making of the Nazi [Wiki]. We're all going full steam ahead and Godwin's Law was fulfilled ages ago.

Bear with me, this is an introduction: well was Walt Disney a fascist or not? The Straight Dope from the noughties has a good non-partisan answer. That article also has some interesting links too, for those that enjoy the 'surf'; the transcript above and connection to ultra famous Nazi propagandist Leni Riefenstahl - she of the amazing "technically dazzling" and "visually ravishing" 'Olympia' fame - being two.

Anyhooo, you may not know where I am going with this but here's another nudge: "If Disney Doesn't Like Nazi Comparisons, Maybe They Should Stop Acting Like Them" writes Scott Hounsell at Red State, and guess what, he is not wrong: this is how it starts. The frog has been in the heating-up saucepan for a while now and - as the fable goes - still isn't noticing how hot it is getting. The news is of course that of ex MMA fighter turned actress Gina Carano, who was fired by Disney ['galactic hypocrisy'] because she compared the current drift towards hounding and cancelling of Trump supporter (maybe even the whole rabid, fleck-mouthed, totally wrong 'show trial' of impeachment) to the Nazi persecution of Jews. She retweeted a message that had a harrowing real photograph that showed exactly what the text said:
"Jews were beaten in the streets, not by Nazi soldiers but by their neighbors…even by children. Because history is edited, most people today don’t realize that to get to the point where Nazi soldiers could easily round up thousands of Jews, the government first made their own neighbors hate them simply for being Jews. How is that any different from hating someone for their political views."

That is the worry, that is absolutely true, only last month the posts on The Reichstag Fire and oligarchy highlighted the path we ARE on; along with the ludicrous media circus regarding 'attempted coup', 'armed insurrection', 'attempted violent overthrow', 'one of the darkest day in recent American history', 'domestic terrorists', 'armed rioters' and other similar terms: coordinated, orchestrated, intentional...you can see what's happening? They are writing fake news for the future's history lessons. Is the Capitol building burning? is there a fire in the copula (left)?

Continuing the Nazi theme, some morons (yeah Arnie, joining Hollywood's bat-shit crazy brigade)  even compared the Capitol riot to Kristallnacht (and here we could circle right back to Leni Riefenstahl); I kid you not. The Nazi pogrom
"In two days and nights, more than 1,000 synagogues were burned or otherwise damaged. Rioters ransacked and looted about 7,500 Jewish businesses, killed at least 91 Jews, and vandalized Jewish hospitals, homes, schools, and cemeteries. The attackers were often neighbours." [Britannica]

Of course there are other and higher death estimates. Compare that real terror and fear felt by hundreds of thousands to [fake LOL AOC] fear and a few turned over chairs. How many of the hundreds of statues and large gilt framed artworks - very apparent in all the internal video evidence - were destroyed Arnie? How many windows broken Arnie, eight, as many as ten? How many buildings burned down? How many car fires? The "ransacked" offices still had all the computer screens on the desks, and chairs behind the desks..there were some documents strewn on the floor though...FFS.

Oblocutors' obloquy; our obvious odium...

Our thoughts about the media were dire but are deteriorating. 'Journalists' get a bad name in general but today's churnalism is getting worse. 24-hour news and hundreds of TV channels mean bullshit is recycled and repeated ad nauseam and the 'talent pool' is spread so thin that brain-dead fuckwits can become 'slebs'.

The MSM's clear agenda-driven objectives of causing polemic, raising their own profile and getting sound-bites to report rather than the actual news is reaching record levels. The images below are surveys from (top) Kekst CNC [part of the Publicis Groupe, the world's third largest communications group] and (bottom) the 2019 Ipsos MORI veracity Index, Trust in Professions Survey.

The media are lucky that in the past there have been other professions slightly less liked than them but - as we see from the Kekst CNC info - that is changing: both local and national government (admittedly not "politiicans" per se) are on positive numbers; especially in times of national calamity what we don't need is shit slingers broadcasting to every home, every minute of every day.

Objurgating obvious obfuscation...

Back to the General Election...and why not: Christopher Snowdon commented on Twitter the day before the 2019 General Election that he hoped somebody would look into the 'false looking' ("garbage") statement that "Investigation finds '88% of Tory ads misleading compared to 0% for Labour'".

On the face of it I think most normal people would immediate realise something wasn't right: much of Labour and many of their blinkered followers - usually the most vociferous - seem to spout lies almost eveytime any of them speak (IMHO!) so why would their ads be any different. This week Christopher updated (answered his own Tweet) that "No one ever came back to this factoid so I did it myself." And what a good job he has done too (plus bonus points for correct use of 'factoid' i.e. some 'fact' that is false!): on his blog Velvet Glove, Iron Fist he lays out a full and fair account showing that the "investigation" is obviously wrong, their interpretations flawed and their methodology quite ridiculous. I say 'fair' as he highlights possibly misleading statements from both parties plus (amazingly) both The Guardian and the BBC come out untainted - unlike many lefty luvvies, comedians, commentators and even Labour MPs. And I say 'full' as the blog-post has dozens of examples and doesn't really favour either side, except by the upshot of the whole thing in that the 88% to zero was very clearly fake news designed to help Labour...that went well.

"The idea that 88% of the Conservative adverts were 'lies' is itself a lie, seemingly designed to affect the result of the election as the campaign neared its end. It appears to have been designed to help Labour win and has subsequently been used as an excuse for why it lost."

Only Orthodox outrage...?

Only Orthodox outrage? Nope: thanks to Koyla on this article at Harry's Place for posting a great thread from Facebook from Maajid Nawaz of Quilliam:

"I’m getting rather tired of the equivocation around this Labour antisemitism issue, so here’s a thread for confused pundits & voters. Some smart people out there have been hoodwinked by dishonest political hacks, or are simply too tribal to accept the difference in the following (written on twitter so apologies for the choppy style)

People of any political persuasion must acknowledge:"

1) Every party will have some policies you don’t like

2) Every party will also have rogue members, or leaders, who said nasty things too

3) usually, if a party has policies you disagree with, you simply don’t vote for them

4) for Britain’s Jews & their allies, the issue with Labour Party is none of the above. I repeat: it is *none of the above*. So Corbynists, pls stop obfuscating, strawmanning & deflecting.

5) the issue is Labour Party stands accused of being *institutionally antisemitic* (racist)

6) this is *very* different to finding individual policies you hate, or representatives who utter bigotry

7) for a body to be institutionally racist (ironically, a phrase coined by a 90s Labour gov. inquiry) *not every member* is necessarily a racist, nor necessarily is the leader

8) for a body to be deemed *institutionally racist*, intention & individual behaviour isn’t primary issue. Rather, outcomes are considered. If the totality of this body’s procedures, institutions& structure lead to *racist outcomes*, then sincerity &individual intent is no defence

9) This is why 90s Lab government’s McPherson inquiry (rightly) deemed police ‘institutionally racist’ after unpunished racist murder of black teenager Stephen Lawrence. They were not calling all police officers racist. Nor did it mean that other UK orgs didn’t suffer racism too

10) so, back to the Labour Party: British jews and their allies are accusing this Labour Party under Corbyn of being ‘institutionally antisemitic’. This means precisely that the party’s mechanisms, procedures and institutions lead to racist outcomes against its Jewish members

11) this does *not* mean every Labour member is racist. It also does not necessarily imply that even Corbyn is (he might be). Rather, it points to the failure of Corbyn’s ship, with him as captain,to steer away from antisemitism. Sincere individual intent is not a condition here

12) what British Jews are (correctly) alleging is that the Labour Party discriminates against them, as a party machine. That the outcomes in that party no longer protect them against racism. This is an *institutional* failure

13) So, back to my opening line about political tribalism: any instinctive defence, “Whataboutery” response, or even allegations of hypocrisy, like “why aren’t you doing more to address racism in your own party?” entirely miss the nature & seriousness of what is (accurately) alleged:

14) British Jews and their allies are *not* in a state of alarm because Labour has individual racists in it (which is bad enough as it is). No. The Tories, Lib Dem’s, Brexit party & others all have bad apples. I repeat: the issue isn’t the existence of bad apples

15) the issue very precisely & seriously is under Corbyn, Labour seems not only to have ignored the problem, or denied it, but in many cases doubled down on it & worse even blamed the victims for reporting it. In other words: the Labour Party machine has been co-opted by racism

16) if one understands the nature & seriousness of the allegation, then one would never reply by saying, by way of example: “but what about Johnson and niqabi Muslim letterboxes?” Bad thing to say, but not evidence that the Tory party *machine* discriminates against Muslim members

17) Also, it’s very important to recognise that criticising ultra-Conservative Muslim dress is a political right, because the ‘choice’ to adopt fundamentalist dress is a valid societal choice that must equally be subjected to scrutiny - like any religious conservativism must be

18) No. Racism is not the same as criticising my religious choices, or lack thereof. You can (politely) criticise my religion, because it’s an idea. All ideas must be scrutinised. But one cannot insult another’s race, without being rightly deemed a racist.

19) Jews are both a people and a religion. European antisemitic tropes against Jews concern their supposed habits as a ‘people’, not their religion. So, its racism to suggest that all Jews are secret greedy capitalists, or have large ugly hooked noses, for example.

20) no serious Jewish voice or organisation has ever said it’s racist to criticise Israel. None. I repeat, none. This is a complete Strawman. I criticise Netanyahu’s policies regularly and know many Jews and Israelis who do so too.
The issue is about

a) traditional European antisemitism flooding back into Labour (eg: East London ‘greedy capitalist’ mural that Corbyn defended)

b) holding Israel’s Jews to higher standard than the world

c) an obsessive focus on Israel for errors that are far worse elsewhere

d) supporting or otherwise praising genocidal, jew-murdering terrorist groups

21) some examples for all of the above can be (non-exhaustively) found here: The Golem Twitter thread.

22) So, people like Tory Baroness Warsi, who seems to have made a career of late out of deflecting over this antisemitism issue in Labour, to attacking her own party instead over “Islamophobia” (sic) totally miss the point:

23) Johnson, or any rogue Tory MP or member, can and do say racist or proto-racist things, but does the party with a Muslim-origin Chancellor really discriminate against Muslims institutionally? Does it then double down & deny its racism (I repeat: blasphemy is not racism)

24) this Muslim believes not. And I have *never* voted Tory in my life, and will not do so this time either. There are problems in the Conservative party, yes. I disagree with them, yes. But they are yet to meet the test of being *institutionally* anti-Muslim.

25) truth is, there is only one major political party right now that has had senior former cabinet members resign over this (correctly) alleged *institutional* racism. There is only one party that is being investigated by the Equalities and Human Rights Commission over said racism. That party is the Labour Party

26) AND THIS IS WHERE I GET UPSET: if Boris Johnson, Jo Swinson, or anyone other party leader, let alone individual MP, had SHARED A PANEL in Parliament with members of the now banned violent NEO-NAZI UK-based TERRORIST group National Action, you would all be going ballistic now

27) yet Corbyn not only shared platforms with jew-killing Hizbollah &Hamas TERRORISTS,he not only called them friends, but took £20K from their sponsor: holocaust denying theocratic dictatorship of Iran. Now...imagine you’re Jewish, and then imagine Corbyn in No.10 as PM. Precisely.

After all the above has been digested & recognised as a unique problem only with Labour right now, then add that Corbyn is a Brexiter too & may bargain away the UK with SNP (allowing Scotland another vote) just to become PM, you’ll get why we say #NoToAppeasement & #NeverCorbyn

After the holocaust we vowed in Europe #NeverAgain - then Bosnia happened. Europe is not immune to repeat-offending. We must never be too arrogant to think we are. Brexit or Remain, we do have choices other than Labour. We must not betray our Jewish cousins over a tribal vote

After all this, if we still choose Labour, at least let’s stop pretending we are “progressives”, or that we care about racism & minorities or that we “listen to victims when they tell us we’re hurting them”. It’s all BS. Just admit that you really don’t give a damn about Jews.

Ends."

This needs little or nothing adding to it. Outstanding, although Corbyn himself has a lot more to answer for than just this.

Omission, obfuscation, obnubilation, obscurantism...

...or, in plain English, downright lying. Unbelievably the BBC is STILL reporting the petition calling on the government to revoke Article 50 and remain in the EU without ANY mention of the false signatures, multi-thousand repeat and joke signatures etc. The BBC is a multi-billion pound organisation that pretends it is impartial, it would take a child 10 seconds to discover the complete joke this petition is [LINK].

At least they have stopped saying it is the fastest-growing on record or the best-supported proposal in the history of the Commons, or other such 'keep this non-story' going piffle but to openly report it as genuine and as if it were corruption free is plain lying.

Also, the 'million person march' - a number easily debunked by anyone who can see - is now also officially debunked (it was really officially debunked the same day, anyone who has ever see a crowd of just a single football game knows how ridiculous the claims were). The BBC get around this unfortunate truth by saying things like "the organisers say" and can therefore leave their lying "million joined Brexit protest" headline in place.

The BBC are cunts but the cunting cunts in Parliament take the biscuit. However, just for info, remember who is voting for what when you come to help destroy these treacherous cunts at the ballot box: there are a cohort of 30 "Conservative" MPs who really need to be pilloried.

No, the irony of me using BBC info is not lost.
