October's over III...

Tonight is Halloween and it is also a full moon, the Hunter's Moon...spooky eh? No, it has to happen of course but the "last time this happened was back in 1944. And it will not happen again until 2039!" What I bet you didn't know is that when a full moon falls on Halloween it is ALWAYS a blue moon; it has to be. "The first full moon that follows the autumn equinox is called the Harvest Moon"..."Typically, the next full moon that follows the Harvest Moon is called the Hunter’s Moon. But this year it is also called a Blue Moon. As both events occur within the same month." [LINK] This latter relies on the 'modern tradition' of what is a blue moon, they always been something rare but not always just the second full moon within a calendar month, which is how we think of it [origin of the phrase].

In case you're wondering (and as per first link above) , yes, most of the full moons have names.

Update: Talking about the moon, I didn't realise until today that 'Operation Moonshot' (UK Gov's rapid turnaround coronavirus testing programme) has been quietly put down.

Outing outbreak "opportunists"...

Please listen to this interview with Dr. Mike Yeadon. That link is to YouTube, also HERE on James Delingpole's Podbean. "The first social media pandemic".
"Dr Mike Yeadon has a degree in biochemistry and toxicology, a research-based PhD in respiratory pharmacology, has spent over 30 years leading new medicines research in the pharmaceuticals industry, and founded his own biotech company which he sold to the world’s biggest drug company Novartis in 2017.

He talks to James about his devastating paper What SAGE has Got Wrong (https://lockdownsceptics.org/what-sage-got-wrong/) in which he says that the Covid pandemic is over, that there will be no Second Wave, that we have already achieved herd immunity and that Sir Patrick Vallance, Britain’s Chief Scientific Adviser, is a liar and that the vaccine is more or less a waste of time. He doesn’t pull his punches"

COVID heavy (obviously!), some research, some science, some immunology, some health...ALL searchable source-able and all outing the lying sods we have maintaining the casedemic. He does a wonderful and easy to understand job of exposing the absolute scam that has been thrust upon us.

There is NO doubt about this. We are being lied to. Crimes have been commited.

"Otherwise objectionable" otiose?...

Is the excuse/get out of gaol free card/interpretation that Twitter and Facebook use - as they claim innocence due to their being only platforms and not publishers - about to be made redundant? From the Federal Communications Commission's website: FCC General Counsel Thomas M. Johnson Jr. writes "Last week, FCC Chairman Ajit Pai announced his intent to move forward with a rulemaking to interpret Section 230 of the Communications Act of 1934. Under certain circumstances, Section 230 provides websites, including social media companies, that host or moderate content generated by others with immunity from liability."
"Section 230 provides, among other things, that "[n]o provider or user of an interactive computer service shall be treated as the publisher or speaker of any information provided by another information content provider." It further provides that "[n]o provider or user of an interactive computer service shall be held liable on account of . . . any action voluntarily taken in good faith to restrict access to or availability of material that the provider or user considers to be obscene, lewd, lascivious, filthy, excessively violent, harassing, or otherwise objectionable, whether or not such material is constitutionally protected.""

What constitutes material that can be excluded as 'otherwise objectionable'? Well we know that, anything that helps president Trump and/or is a bombshell against a Democrat, most recently Biden and 'the laptop from Hell' to quote The Donald.

There are critics on both sides, an not just from the 'Orange Man Bad' crew. I heard about it from Dan

Otherwise objectionable gear from: Techdirt

Update:  'Tech Censorship Is on a Dangerous Path' writes Armstrong Williams at The Daily Signal [LINK]: "The titans of social media, Dorsey at Twitter and Mark Zuckerberg at Facebook... [  ]...want to control what the public sees, which enables them to better monitor and, ultimately, influence every aspect of society and
life. It is akin to China’s "free speech elite,"...[  ] " As we move closer to stifling free speech and elevating only the viewpoints desired by the Silicon Valley elite, let us remember the words of James Madison:

"Our First Amendment freedoms give us the right to think what we like and say what we please. And if we the people are to govern ourselves, we must have these rights, even if they are misused by the minority. We can never lose sight of this because the moment we do will be the moment we cease to be free.""

Other outbreak oblocutors...

"You know nothing John Snow" is probably what he was told: John Snow, the British physician who 'first determined that cholera spread through contaminated water'; he wasn't sure how but he was right; he also had many naysayers and detractors.[{typo edit} Interestingly the sadly MIA blogger Raedwald mentioned him back in April:

"We must keep exposing the manifold failures of the central Whitehall machine. They are costing lives."

Anyhoo...the reason for John Snow the mention is that The Great Barrington Declaration has a rival: The John Snow Memorandum. A couple of days ago Lockdown Skeptics debunked a lot of it and today they ask "Who are the Real Heirs of John Snow in the Herd Immunity Debate?

"The conventional wisdom at the time – the view held by the scientific establishment – was the miasma theory, which held that diseases such as cholera and bubonic plague were caused by pollution or “bad air”. Instead of relying on this theory, Snow actually did some on-the-ground research, talking to local residents and analysing the pattern of infection. In this way, he was able to trace the source of the outbreak to a water pump in Broad Street and end the epidemic. Snow’s discovery, which came about because he engaged in methodical, empirical research rather than relying on some divorced-from-reality theory, is regarded as the founding event of the science of epidemiology.

For a group of establishment panjandrums to invoke John Snow’s name, given that their entire approach to the pandemic is rooted in abstract mathematical modelling, is almost laughably inappropriate."

That said, he did order the handle of the 'Broad Street Pump' to be removed so as to avoid the residents drinking the water; I suppose that could be construed as an early 'lockdown restriction' couldn't it?

More good stuff  HERE from Robert E. Wright at the American Institute for Economic Research (AIER) ['What?' I hear you murmour...no worries, he's a historian].

"In case my fancy words remain unclear, I am saying that the public health officials who do not understand the correct policy response to covid, represented by the Great Barrington Declaration, fail to do so because they have not studied the history of science or even medicine in sufficient detail to understand the scientific method. They are too ignorant to be humble.

Case in point, John Snow himself would have signed the Great Barrington Declaration, not the John Snow Declaration."

Finally, a few choice words from Dr. Atlas Scott [great name!], who when interviewed had some ghastly and wrrying statistics e.g. "[in the USA]...an astonishing 25.5 percent of people between 18 and 24 contemplated suicide in the month of June alone" WTF? Lockdown's a winner...NOT!

"History will record the faces of the public health expertise as some of the most sinful, egregious, epic failures in the history of public policy. They have killed people with their lack of understanding and their lack of caring about not just the impact of cases of COVID-19, a virus that the overwhelming majority of people do well in. They never cared to considered the impact of the policy itself, and the policy itself has been a complete epic failure, and honestly some people say a crime against humanity — these people should be held accountable for what they did."

Obmutescent over Obama's olid occamy...

Generally the media have been silent, complicit, corrupt, deceptive, lying, projecting, deflecting...but slowly the 'no drama Obama' wall of lies is crumbling. Great article over at Conservative Woman today, Donald Forbes re "This rottenness all goes back to Obama". Well worth a read despite a very slight hiccup re THE Donald. Needless to say you'll know my opinion, Obama being near the top of my labels for well over a decade [in fact off topic it is interesting to read some 'old' stuff, from 2007, the first 'YouTube Election'].

Anyway, all good stuff and even though he admits it is very doubtful Obama will ever see Justice for his crimes, the word needs spreading. There are at least three scandals that make Watergate look like candyfloss but the disgraceful lying shit-bag media are forever silent, complicit...
"It is unclear how the integrity of American politics recovers from the havoc Obama wreaked, culminating in his use of the government to try to prevent Trump’s election and, when that failed, to destroy his presidency. Everything that happened afterwards – from the Resistance, and Mueller investigation to impeachment – was set in motion by Obama."

Important point: "No president has been scandal-free except, bizarrely, Trump, against whom no criminal accusation or dirty trick has ever been substantiated."

Obamagate is no longer "allegations" but that is not the worst. The IRS scandal was worse but as you'll know, Benghazigate does it for me.

Oncoming oppression...

Well, not oncoming but already here and likely to get worse. This quote is so true. Quotes.pub had the image but the reminder of this great quote was from Allison Pearson's [DT] "withering verdict" of BoZo's BoJo's speech to the Conservative [virtual] Party Conference. Hat-tip Lockdown Skeptics

Also from there some more sinister (but we all knew) news: "Many governments are using the pandemic as cover to silence dissent, stifle the free press and disrupt elections, according to a new report by Freedom House, a US-based think tank". Linking to Philip Heijmans' article on the Bloomberg website: Governments Using Pandemic to Stifle Dissent

The Freedom House article is well worth reading, on their website HERE or the report is HERE-PDF

The Media end Expression section strikes me as problematic: "91 of 192 countries (47 percent) experienced restrictions on the news media as part of the response to the coronavirus outbreak", believable;

"Journalists covering the crisis have been arrested and targeted with violence, harassment, and intimidation. Governments have exerted control over content, revoked outlets’ registrations, suspended printing of newspapers, denied press credentials, and limited independent questioning at press conferences. New legislation against spreading “fake news” about the virus has been passed, while websites have been blocked and online articles or social media posts removed. The increased public need for impartial information during a pandemic makes such varied methods of suppression particularly egregious."

However, many major countries e.g. UK and USA are in the 'free' category (as against partly free or not free); they may be 'free' on paper (hoho) but they are part of the problem: they have stoked the fear, they refuse to ask the most obvious questions, THEY are part of the problem and have encouraged the dozy inadequate politicians to continue on their disasterous path.

Update: absolute case in point: just heard on the radio news, headline: this year "COVID has killed [xyz*] times more than flu and pneumonia combined".  Complete bollocks and for various reasons.

* can't remember if they said twice, three or four times more because I was shouting at the radio "NO IT HASN'T"...

October opener

Click on image or HERE. "As infectious disease epidemiologists and public health scientists we have grave concerns about the damaging physical and mental health impacts of the prevailing COVID-19 policies, and recommend an approach we call Focused Protection.

It is pure common sense and unfortunately a long way from the government's approach, which becomes more Monty Pythonesque every week.
