Own owl omen...

[Edited: 'dead' video/image removed]
Tytonidae or Strigidae? But knowing Labour probably Ogygoptynx. The wise, talented, majestic beauty [Wiki] ...surely about as far from Labour as one could get.  Today the Labour Party’s official Twitter account "issued the unusual pledge shortly after Ed Miliband set out a new package of Labour policies for next year’s general election "Everybody should have his own owl"" [link: DT] Why not just admit it was a simple mistake instead of the hackneyed 'hacked' excuse?

Mind you, maybe it's an omen for tonight...Update: obviously not...and not as wise as geese apparently!

Ordure ocean...

Certainly Shit Creek but with a paddle at least, and most certainly (to quote Boris, always one for a good phrase) "the quintessence of turd polishing pointlessness" [edit] i.e. opposing Jean-Claude Juncker as the next president of the European commission was a complete waste of time; Boris also said it is like "trying to swat a fly on the leg of the rhino that is standing on your chest" LOL.

The Prime Ministers of The UK, Sweden and the Netherlands (David Cameron, Fredrik Reinfelt and Mark Rutte respectively) with German Chancellor Angela Merkel: interestingly these countries have nearly always been the highest per capita net contributors (no disrespect to Austria previously and to Denmark and Finland now and other net contributors as things are more 'balanced' these days.
