Ongoing omnigatherum of our ocracy's obscurantism...

...from the Naked Emperor's Substack: the "anti-science" 'infinite list'...[LINK
"Almost three years ago science entered a new dark age."
Well worth a read; feel free to subscribe, just the 'Today's Must Reads' makes it worth it (varied subjects, not just COVID related).

"Jay Bhattacharya, a professor of medicine at Stanford University and co-author of the Great Barrington Declaration, seems to agree. He has been compiling a list of the examples of anti-science we have unfortunately become used to.

Here's the current tail-end of the list:

39. Ignoring immunity after covid recovery is anti-science;
40. Vaccine mandates have demolished public trust and are anti-science;
41. Pausing childhood vaccination programs and tuberculosis treatment in poor countries because of fear of covid led to many unnecessary deaths and is anti-science;
42. Ignoring legitimate vaccine injury is anti-science;
43. Declaring oneself to be The Science itself is anti-science;

Update 19:19 p.m
.: Igor now tells us of more unbelievable anti-science: "If someone asked me three years ago, whether it is possible that the FDA would approve a children’s vaccine with ZERO testing on children, I would of course laugh the question off as ludicrous. Now it is reality. Even worse, schools and camps may start requiring it." [FDA News Release] [Pfizer Press release].

As per Igor's Substack, the grand total for adult bivalent booster testing of using 8 (eight) mice wasn't even reached [update update!: "uncomfortably scant data", "critical lack of information", "we {Pfizer} are not going to be transparent to the American public"...just some of the comments from Dr. Paul Offit, one of the not-consulted a voting members of the FDA panel that approves vaccines talking about the new Covid boosters!]

Adults: eight mice, no advisors consulted
Children: no mice, no testing, no advisors consulted...FFS!

Not unbelievable, just plain old sinister and evil.

Origin of Oh Oh Omicron...

Genomic epidemiology of novel coronavirus - Africa-focused subsampling [Nextstrain.org

Now, you could read that as 'Double O' short-hand for fictional licenced-to-kill undercover agent or 'Oh Oh' as in awareness of a problem, mild alarm or worry over the realisation of an error...but...Ian Rons at the Daily Skeptic gives us his 'Bond' tongue in cheek conspiracy theory (honest, I know all the others have come true but this is a joke). however, it may be the case ("Self-disseminating vaccines to suppress zoonoses")!

Anyhooo, a month ago Igor Chudov wrote "Omicron 'variant' likely to be man-made. It evolved from a strain that is not in circulation as of 1.5 years ago." And from almost two weeks back "Omicron is Not Normal " [eugyppius], and last week from Jonatan Pallesen [his Twitter] "It is based on a variant last seen in mid-2020.

"That is a very odd path for a virus to evolve naturally. But a normal one if it was investigated in a lab since then."

There are many more with so much info (e.g. Dr. B, or the Chinese!) but links lead to links and the rabbit hole is endless albeit super interesting and thought provoking. Below you'll see two more images of the evolutionary connections (Omicron's goes back to mid 2020 remember), on the right the larger view, on the left a close-up of the origin (click to enlarge) ...maybe that OO isn't so conspiratorial after all...

Omicron offensive: ostracise others...

Jesus wept. yes, I quote the scriptures but also the modern meaning applies: after a mention of the head bed-wetter ABC* telling us what Jesus would do, now Bozo the Clown is too! FFS.

"Boris Johnson has invoked the teaching of Jesus Christ to urge the public to get a Covid booster jab", ludicrous. [The Guardian

* No sooner had I blogged 'will no one rid us of this turbulent priest?' (to coin a phrase hehe), and 'his wokeness presiding over the collapse of the faith in the UK (he is not alone in the blame for this)' when Frederick Edward, 'Will nobody rid me of this turbulent priest?', at Bournbrook has what could almost be a follow-up: albeit smarter, calmer, better written...OK, OK!

"Given that the entirety of the mainstream Christian establishment is wetter than a damp rag left out overnight during a rainstorm, it seems almost churlish to pick on any individual in particular.

And regarding the Archbishop of Canterbury's comment, Frederick writes:
This spiritual blackmail left me cold. If you love your neighbour, you probably shouldn’t try and strong-arm them into having a vaccine for which there is no long-term data and whose potential harms outweigh any conceivable benefit for vast swathes of the population. Particularly considering the fact that vaccination does not appear to stop infection or transmission.
Hear hear.

Oh, and by the way, I almost forgot: "The UKHSA study also found that protection against Omicron from booster shots starts to wane within three months, meaning millions face having an earlier fourth Covid jab next year." [The Times]...

...please don't pretend to be surprised.
