Obloquy over obvious opposition of our orthodoxy...

...or, what a disgrace the BBC continues to prove themselves to be: Surprise, surprise! Next BBC Religion Editor is yet another Muslim, so "The last three people in charge of religious broadcasting and a commissioning editor appointed by the BBC have been British Asians, three of them Muslims and one from a Muslim family."...bit of a coincidence nothing more; no conspiracy to see here, they were the best qualified for the job, honest!
"It could be seen as a deliberate expression of the scorn which those in the upper echelons of the BBC hold towards Christianity and the British values which come from it, and the promotion and normalisation of Islam."

...writes Dr Campbell Campbell-Jack on The Conservative Woman. Yes, it 'could'.

Dr. Campbell-Jack is a retired Presbyterian minister so has a dog in the fight I would say but to be honest this should piss us all off and is just typical of the anti-British BBC whose bias is becoming legendary; they simply hate all and everything about the U.K. and especially England. Fuck 'em.

I suppose the new guy could be a Christian, right? After all, he did walk The Road to Bethlehem, "from Nazareth to Bethlehem, retracing a journey made by Joseph and Mary in the New Testament story of Jesus' birth". More than most Christians! The diary of that journey makes for genuinely interesting reading and Aleem was mistaken as both a Jewish settler and a Palestinian "and so, perhaps, a potential attacker".

But no, Aleem Maqbool is a very Urdu name and as a previous Pakistan Correspondent (and Gaza/West Bank Correspondent) I'm sure he is in fact...yep,  a Muslim. And reading his BLM love-in (mainly Melina Abdullah quotes) you just know he'll fit in perfectly.

The BBC tell us  Aleem will take up the new position in Spring 2022, presumably just in time for the Census 21 results [ONS UK Gov] so we'll be able to see how the Muslim population in the UK has grown (yes, I know we won't) but it'll highlight the BBC's fuckwittery. Why not rotate the role? Why not appoint a Jew, a Hindu, a Buddhist, a Sikh a 'no stated religion' or even - God forbid - a Christian?!!

Onward obsidian obitual...

"I remember when Christians used to actually believe in Christianity. Those were the days. (Some still do, but their numbers are shrinking.)"..the words of Tal Bachman on the The Bachman Beat, itself hosted on the blog of [the mighty] Mark Steyn. Tal writes of the overt and accelerating downfall of the Christian Church in the USA - the same is as true in most of the West (in the UK we know all about it, I think 'embarrassing' covers it, Protestant and Catholic, Orthodox not so much) - "has been going on for decades, of course, but its most striking manifestation of late has been the near-total failure of the Christian church to expose and reject the destructive fraud that is Black Lives Matter.

Aha, you say, the point of the post...yep.More snippets below and with links intact.

"That kind of failure requires extraordinary ignorance, extraordinary
cowardice, or both. After all, it's not like the veil hasn't come off
Black Lives Matter, if it was ever there in the first place. Its
founders openly profess their allegiance to Marxism, history's most genocidal ideology. Its members repeatedly encourage violence, destruction, and even murder. Its website
calls for the "disruption of the Western-prescribed nuclear family
structure", the end of accepting heterosexuality as normal, and the
avoidance of "environments in which men are centered"....

The next two paragraphs are key: the whole thing is based on lies, slyly moulded to suit the race hustler agenda, including by Obama ["If I had a son, he would look like Trayvon", Obama's offspring II]...

"In addition, the cited catalyst for the entire movement—the "murder"
of Trayvon Martin in 2012—is a lie. Trayvon Martin was not "murdered".
He violently assaulted a man named George Zimmerman by pounding his head
into the pavement. Zimmerman then shot him in self-defense. That's precisely why a jury of six women acquitted him. Yet Black Lives Matter is still calling it a "murder" on its website.

The second rationale for the movement—that a racist white cop gunned
down an innocent "gentle giant" named Michael Brown in Ferguson,
Missouri—is also a lie. After robbing a store, Brown attacked a police
officer trying to arrest him. As a result, the officer shot Brown in
self-defense. Attorney General Eric Holder himself confirmed this after
an exhaustive review.

These aren't the only Black Lives Matter lies, of course. It's a lie that there's an epidemic of racist police shootings.
It's a lie that defunding the police will help black communities (it
does just the opposite, and has already directly enabled the murder of hundreds more black people, including children).

It's even a lie that black lives matter to the members of Black Lives
Matter. In reality, the only lives that matter to the Black Lives
Matter crew are lives useful to advancing Marxism...which is why you've
never seen, and never will see, any Black Lives Matter protests over the
250,000 blacks murdered by other blacks during the past 45 years,* or
the 19 million black babies aborted since Roe vs. Wade (the combined population of Ireland, Switzerland, Costa Rica, and Fiji), or the black police officers, active or retired, killed."...

..."In short, you couldn't invent an organization which more flagrantly
violates a greater number of Biblical commandments and Christian ideals
than Black Lives Matter. You have murder, beatings, necromancy,
stealing, bearing false witness, covetousness, lying, insurrection
against duly-elected leaders, worshipping false gods, assaults on the
family, assaults on heterosexuality, and a transparently fake concern
for the black lives every real Christian is duty-bound to see as
creations of God. It's a Satanic dream."

Oval onomatomania over onomatophobia...

I am getting the irresistible urge to repeat certain words; Crusaders, Crusaders CRUSADERS. This is because of recent perceived fear of certain words...maybe. Super Rugby's Crusaders are by far and away - on present form - the best club in the world*. HOWEVER, "The Canterbury Crusaders are to lose their knight and sword logo following a review into the club's branding after the Christchurch mosque attacks in March". Now, apparently, the head of New Zealand Rugby Steve Tew said: "Even prior to 15 March, the Crusaders had signalled their intention to complete a brand review. While the events of 15 March have accelerated and escalated that brand review, we do not want this to be solely a response to that tragic event." Also,

"Any change must not be seen as a knee-jerk reaction to a single event."...OK; trouble is it sounds exactly like a knee-jerk reaction to a single event.

I don't know about you but when I see the logo I do not think of medieval European knights chopping up Muslims, no really, I don't. When the Canterbury kiwis originally chose the 'Crusaders' name it was based on the English nature of the city of Christchurch: [LINK: What's in a name (archived page)] "They believed the name Crusaders not only connected with Christchurch's British heritage but it defined the crusading spirit of Canterbury rugby." They have a theme song too: the "Conquest of Paradise" (Vangelis). My God, the Maori's won't like that will they? Their paradise was afterall conquested. And Canterbury in England means "stronghold of the Kentish men"! No! They'll have to change the city name too I guess, all that stronghold stuff could make people think of fighting and killing.

Now, juxtapose this rugby story with another rugby story: 'Israel Folau launches legal action over rugby sacking' [LINK] "No Australian of any faith should be fired for practising their religion," Folau said. Does anyone think, even for a nano-second, that if he were a Muslim and said the exact same words, i.e. that God's plan for gay people was “HELL…Unless they repent of their sins and turn to God”, he would be sacked...anyone?

* In England the Exeter Chiefs and Saracens will have to watch out...actually, no, Saracens won't, will they? I mean God forbid some may recall it as a term [Wiki] not just for for Muslim or Arab but with
connotations: on a military mission, or sāriq, pl. sariqīn: "thief, marauder, plunderer"!

Obvious obstrobogulous observations...

"Our sufferings today are the prelude of those you, Europeans and Western Christians, will also suffer in the near future... "...Your liberal and democratic principles are worth nothing here. You must consider again our reality in the Middle East, because you are welcoming in your countries an ever growing number of Muslims. Also you are in danger. You must take strong and courageous decisions, even at the cost of contradicting your principles. You think all men are equal, but that is not true: Islam does not say that all men are equal."

Open objectors...

"As soon as the coin in the coffer rings, the soul from purgatory springs" or so many of the Del-Boy preachers said. Many objected; one of those wrote ninety five statements that quickly became the first media revolution; which led to a ration of invertebrates [or something] permitting anyone to kill said objector without legal consequence. The ensuing schism was massive and continues to this day. "What is Ows on about?" you cry! Reading Cranmer today would give you a massive clue. You certainly don't have to be a Christian - practising or not - to feel serious concern at how "Politicians and lawyers have conspired to nullify our ancient and hard-won liberties: we are no longer free."
